Noah is doing good today. – The Amazing Noah

Noah is doing good today. His appetite it picking up and He is only a tiny bit nauseous. He is still just laying around and resting. There’s a nice breeze coming off of the lake and he decided to lay in his hammock for a nap!

Early tomorrow morning we head down to the hospital for more chemo (Pegaspargase).

Praying his body responds and there is no allergic reactions. I always get nervous with this one because some kids have bad allergic reactions. He has received this twice before and he was ok. The nurses will monitor him while they administer the chemo and make sure things are good.

We will keep you all updated.

Symptoms

ALL symptoms start when leukemia cells crowd out normal blood cells in bone marrow. The types of symptoms your child has will depend on the numbers of cancer cells and healthy blood cells.

Children with B-cell ALL may:

Bleed or bruise more easily than usual

Feel very tired

Get infections more often

Lose their appetite

Other symptoms include:

Bone or joint pain

Limping

Fever

Pale skin

Red or purple spots called petechiae on the skin

Swollen lymph nodes in the neck, underarms, or groin

If the cancer cells travel to your child’s liver and spleen, these organs can grow large enough to make the belly swell. In some boys, the testicles can also grow larger.
